The Brother MFC-J410w printed out the latest version of our business applications suite (timed with QualityLogic's hardware and software) at 2.2 effective pages per minute (ppm), a decent speed for a $100 printer.
We tested it over a USB connection using a computer running Windows Vista. The MFC-J410 connects to a PC via a USB cable, or to a network via WiFi (802.11b/g). The 100-sheet paper tray, though typical for an MFP in its price range, is on the scant side for a home-office MFP. It has a small (1.9-inch) color LCD screen-many MFPs in its price range are limited to a monochrome text LED display. It has a 15-sheet automatic document feeder (ADF) for copying, scanning, or faxing multi-page documents.
This machine is reasonably compact, measuring 7.1 by 15.4 by 14.8 inches (HWD) and weighing 14 pounds.
